Our Color Matching Process works according to the principle of off-color reinforcement

Each object takes the color of the wavelength which it reflects most of all.

For the human eye minimal differences between similar colors are hardly perceivable. As a consequence, vehicle components that seem to match in terms of color under articial lighting conditions in the plant can suddenly show marked differences when they are regarded under daylight conditions.

This is where our Color Matching Process comes into play. A color detector scans the color of the surface under inspection. In order to guarantee a precise measurement of surface data, calibrated measuring lamps are fixed to the color detector.

All data registered by the color detector are transmitted to a control unit where they are analysed according to DIN standard 6173.

From the control unit the so-called ColorControlOptics are directly controlled via digital signals. Depending on the color of the sample under inspection the color temperature of the optics are adjusted in such a way that existing color deviations, for instance of car body components, are clearly displayed.

In addition, every possible daylight condition can be realistically and reliably simulated by changing light directions and color temperatures.

Our Color Matching Process can be applied wherever a precise color fidelity between different single parts and materials is of major importance.
